I mentioned a couple of years ago that Jose Rodriguez' book "Hard Measures" was a ""must read. Of course, Mr. Rodriguez was in charge of the CIA's Advanced Interrogation Team. Abu Zubaydah was one of the three that were waterboarded. There is a Chapter in the book (3) on Zubaydah (refer to "AZ"). At the end of the chapter on AZ (28% on Kindle), I read something that I believe that many have overlooked. I quote:
"Once Abu Zubaydah broke under waterboarding, he told our officers something remarkable. "You must do this for all the brothers," he said. AZ explained to them that Allah knew that they were only human and once they had been tested to their limits there was no shame in their cooperating with us."
"Once he became compliant, the information AZ willingly provided us was by any reasonable measure some of the most important intelligence since 9/11. Those who say otherwise are simply ill informed or misleading the public"
I am only forwarding this to those of you that I know can give this quote the best exposure. I hope that you find this useful and would be honored if it is something that you may be able use. This book is/was great as was Marc Thiessen's, "Courting Disaster", on the CIA interrogations in conjunction with 9/11.
